If you told me that Kirsten Dunst and LaKeith Stanfield were heading to the same premiere at TIFF 2025, I would’ve assumed their stylists got the invites mixed up.
Kirsten arrived in seafoam Valentino channeling 1930s Hollywood siren, while LaKeith? He was playing in a completely different style arena, true to his own fashion rhythm.
LaKeith is one of those rare actors who treats fashion like performance art—half dandy, half rebel—and his Dior Spring 2026 look had all the hallmarks. White wool knit? Yes. Blue denim bow tie? Quirky perfection. Dior leather beret? A Stanfield signature, because what’s a LaKeith outfit without a headpiece. The beige cotton trousers, though… that’s where I had to pause.
On the runway, their slouchy cut worked on a model’s endless legs, but here they undercut LaKeith’s 6ft frame, making him look shorter than he is. And that’s the thing: when the foundation feels off, even the boldest flourishes struggle to save it.
Still, I’ll take LaKeith’s fearless misses over safe choices any day—because red carpets are far more interesting when he shows up.
Stylist: Raf Talaat.
