Benedetta Porcaroli is in Venice Film Festival promoting her new film Kidnapping of Arabella, and her two Prada looks couldn’t have told more different stories.
Photocall: Rolled Out of Bed In Prada
Now, I know what some of you are thinking: what on earth is going on with this Prada look? Honestly, I get it. Because I’ve been there. This feels like me the morning after the Oscars—pyjamas still on, jacket thrown over, slipping into the first pair of shoes I can find, racing to Starbucks to get enough caffeine to power through writing up the Vanity Fair party. So yes, on paper this may be a WDOTY contender given the prestige of festival, but I can’t bring myself to be harsh. It’s too relatable, and sometimes, relatability buys you a pass.

Premiere: Floral Prada in the Venetian Sun
Things turned around beautifully for the premiere, where Benedetta wore a Prada Spring 2025 satin floral column dress adorned with delicate crystal embroidery. The off-shoulder sleeve detail—which some might think looks like a wardrobe slip—was actually an intentional design choice (Hunter Schafer wore the same style earlier this year at the Film Independent Spirit Awards). It’s a clever, romantic detail that makes the dress feel relaxed yet glamorous—perfect for an early evening premiere while the sun is still up. My only issue were the burgundy satin Prada pumps. A lovely shoe, yes, but not the most seamless partner for this delicate gown.
Benedetta’s Venice run proves one thing: even when Prada gets a little puzzling, it’s never boring—and she’s the kind of actress who can pull off both “morning-after Starbucks run” and “sparkling screen siren” with equal charm.
