The 2025 Gotham Awards red carpet gave the gentlemen a golden opportunity to strut their stuff, and I must say, a few seized the moment with gusto.
Scrabble tie
Reece Feldman wore a Kidsuper Fall 2025 pinstriped patchwork peak lapel suit, that stood out for all the right reasons. But the real star of the show wasn’t his Scrabble tile tie. It’s geek chic at its finest—an accessory so delightfully offbeat it demands its own close-up. Reece came to play, literally and sartorially.

Brooch game on point
Aldis Hodge reminded us how effective accessories can be when worn with intention. His Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2025 collarless suit was already an elegant choice, but it was elevated further with the brooches we saw on the runway.

Tied up in the 80s
Benito Skinner teased nostalgia with his silvery grey tie adding a whisper of 80s energy to his soft grey shawl collar suit.

Business disco in the front, party in the print
Corteon Moore, Benito’s Overcompensating co-star, brought his own era-spanning statement in a Saint Laurent look that mashed up the 70s and today. The printed shirt gave disco, while the sleek modern cut of the suit kept it grounded. This is how you flirt with vintage influences without falling into nostalgia quicksand.

Lipstick prints, flower power, and pure imagination
Julio Torres accepted his Outstanding Lead Performance in a Comedy Series award for Fantasmas dressed like a walking art exhibit—and I mean that as a full compliment. Taking on the Marni Spring 2025 rose print, Julio showed his unwavering commitment to whimsy. And the lipstick kisses on his face? Consider it performance art. Or maybe it’s just Julio being Julio: wonderfully weird, delightfully daring, and never boring.

Youthful, modern, and totally cool
Owen Cooper continues his quiet domination of red carpets. His oversized, streetwear-inspired look was age-appropriate, laid-back, and fashion-forward all at once. Whoever is behind his styling deserves a raise—and a standing ovation.

McQueen MOODBOARD malfunction
Sam Nivola gave us a McQueen Pre-Fall 2025 moment that was almost there. The shrunken tailoring was supposed to feel edgy, but the cigarette trousers and boots combo didn’t quite hit the mark. The proportions were just a little off, and it felt like the trousers were fighting with the footwear. Not a total miss, but not a slam dunk either.
